Nellie Bly opened it’s doors in 1988.  We feature more than 90 kaleidoscope artists from around the world.  After buying an $18 kaleidoscope at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in 1969, we’ve been fascinated with the interesting optics and artistry of the kaleidoscope.

At Nellie Bly we have a strict policy of “Hands On” the merchandise!  You’ve just go to experience each kaleidoscopes kinetic beauty with the optical beauty when held to the eye.  We sometimes announce to our customers that if you’re not having fun, you may be ejected from the store.  It’s not happened yet . . .

What you will hear in our Nellie Bly is the “oohs”, “aahs” & “Whoas” as our shoppers engage with the kaleidoscopes.
